Unless you are new to Steiner Ranch, the construction at the entrance to the community is of no secret. After months of debate, Property Development Centers has clear-cut the forest and fast tracked the development of a new Randalls, Starbucks, and 15 acres worth of retail and dining additions to our neighborhood.
As I am new to Steiner, curiosity has the best of me.
Quinlan Crossing
How true to the site plan the construction remains, we’ll have to see, but I have to admit I’m rather excited about the direction reviewed here.

The “lifestyle” Randalls supermarket will feature a Starbucks, larger produce department, full-service meat and seafood departments, and natural and organic offerings.
I’ve heard everything from a daycare, a children’s park, and a library, to 2-3 restaurants, a theater, and some fast food. The video seems to suggest some accuracy to all of that while we need to recognize that it’s all dependent on the businesses that lease the space available.
Existing Outback and Buckaroo Trails will be extended, with what looks today like a path just off the road, to bring Quinlan Park within a pleasant hike for much of Steiner Ranch.
While excited about the development, one does have to wonder how it will change the lives and lifestyle to which we’ve become accustomed. What will happen to our convenient market and beloved Sunday Farmers Market? Will traffic become even more of a challenge or were the transportation plans suggested included in the project finally approved? And I wonder, with amusement, will we end up with another dry cleaner or salon?
If you have more insight, keep us informed! How do you feel about what’s to come and what have you heard we can expect with anticipation? Share your thoughts below or join us at the Fence Post for a discussion.

I hope Chick-fil-A and Chipotle will be among the new additions. However, i think traffic will no doubt be a challenge.
I’m not so sure about the traffic; they’re doing a lot of work to add turn lanes and, considering, an entrance off the 620, how much more might we expect? From where??
100% with you on Chipotle! I’d also LOVE a good breakfast diner
Oh! I will add thirdroute that I’m concerned that they bulldozed all the trees away. That corner would be quite a draw with a fountain for the kids to play in and some great big trees for shade. I don’t expect we’ll have either.
I think it would be nice to see an Alamo Drafthouse instead of a Cinemark theatre, if that is, it happens. Also, I agree a Chick-fil-a and a Chipotle would be great additions. A playground and fountain for the little ones to run through would be really nice as it encourages families to come. Also, wifi hotspots located outside with lounge type seating areas would be a terrific touch.
Well said Lorraine! Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure we aren’t getting a theater, have you hear otherwise?? I know we’re getting one up on the 620 development past Home Depot.
Fountain would be brilliant but the bulldozing of the trees really suggests to me a narrow view of the development that will result in a parking lot with stores like any other.
Frankly, what I’m really dying to understand is will the quality of the development be such that it adds or detracts value to the community.
I live at the Monterone and while i may not be a “real” resident of Steiner Ranch i am disgusted that i have to stare at this from my home. I used to have a nice view of the lake, and now i get to stare at a big ole ugly randall’s. Thanks for nothing you jerks! I’ll be shopping a the small market 2 seconds away, SUPPORT LOCAL, BUY LOCAL!!! Shame on RANDALLS.
The only comment on which I’ll vehemently disagree is the assertion that Montrone residents aren’t Steiner residents
“real”??
How can one apply at Randalls at Quinlan Crossing?
Hi, Marcia! Miss you girl! The only thing I’ve come across (& believe me, we’ve been looking!) is the Randall’s website. The race is on in our house for the two teenage girls to work and work close to home. My girls are checking the site FREQUENTLY and the only job openings are for Cedar Park and Lakeway…I’m thinking as it gets closer to opening they’ll have openings/interviews. Let me know if you hear anything!
Don’t forget Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf as an employment opportunity. (but I don’t know how interested people are to apply)
I don’t see a place to apply for the Quinlan Crossing location for Cofee Bean and Tea Leaf yet…. I am interested in any and all employment opportunities in this area as I am a steiner resident and looking for part time work as a student at ACC.
Any updates are greatly appreciated as you hear more!
So what are the stores that we are 100% sure are going in? I know of the Randells and Coffee Bean, just looking for a new job as well.

check out this petition to add more surveillance cameras in Steiner Ranch… if you support this, please pass along to others…
I’m excited to get some new shopping and restaurants in Steiner! However, I’m worried about my favorite stores like HEB, the Market, Fions, Steiner Ranch Liquor, Cups & Cones. I’m hapy about Coffee Bean but I’ll still use Cups & Cones anyway. Does anyone know what stores are coming in?
Last we heard Heather, the liquor store is moving up front from where it is today at the Shoppes. New to the community are a hair cutter, a fitness studio, a tire shop, a mattress store, a nail salon, a clothing boutique, a phone store, and hopefully Austin Diagnostic Clinic. That list is a few weeks old so certainly subject to change.
I hear you about Cups & Cones. Frankly, it surprises me that such similar businesses open with such close proximity to one another (i.e. another nail salon?) while different businesses such that we could really use stay away.
Just thinking as well for those of us with pools, would not mind a WAREHOUSE POOL SUPPLY coming to the QC – which would help with the 10 mile treck out there!
I hear you Carol, that seems to be the general frustration with the forthcoming development. “You’re putting in a storage facility??! We have 5 up the street!”
So the development by Grandview Hills gets a movie theater, two restaurants, a Whataburger…and we get “hair cutter, a fitness studio, a tire shop, a mattress store, a nail salon, a clothing boutique, a phone store, and hopefully Austin Diagnostic Clinic.”
Can we trade?
I’ve just heard: Steiner Ranch Liquor, Chase Bank, IQuest, Elements Therapeutic Massage, Quinlan Park Dental, LeBella Nails & Spa, 4 Hip Chicks Boutique, Jack Brown Cleaners, Great Clips, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Sleep Experts, Penfield’s, Firestone, and Steiner Eye Care.
